1. Our commitment
Megnity wants everyone to be able to use megnity.com, including people who use screen readers, keyboards or voice control, people with low vision or colour blindness, and people with cognitive or motor impairments. We are working to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA.
2. What we have done
- Pages use semantic headings, landmarks and a declared page language, so screen readers can navigate them.
- Interactive elements can be reached and used with a keyboard, and show a visible focus indicator.
- Form fields have visible labels, and errors are described in text.
- Images that carry meaning have text alternatives; decorative images are hidden from assistive technology.
- Animations, including the intro screen and scroll effects, are reduced or switched off when your device is set to “reduce motion”.
- Many pages offer a “skip to content” link for keyboard users.
- The cookie banner and preference dialog work with a keyboard (Tab, Escape) and with screen readers.
- Many articles offer a read-aloud tool that uses your browser’s speech voices. You can change the voice and speed.
- Text and background colours are chosen for readable contrast, and the layout adapts to phones, tablets and zoomed text.
3. Known limitations
We have reviewed the site ourselves but have not yet had it formally audited by an independent specialist, so some issues may remain. We know of these:
- The “skip to content” link is not yet on every page.
- Some secondary text in muted grey may fall slightly below the recommended contrast on tinted backgrounds.
- Videos are embedded from YouTube. Their player controls, and captions where available, are provided by YouTube, not by us.
- The read-aloud tool depends on the voices installed in your browser or device, so quality and availability vary.
- Some downloadable files, if provided, may not be fully accessible. Ask us for another format.
- Third-party sites we link to are outside our control.
We are working through these and will update this page as they are fixed.
4. Tell us about a problem
If you find something hard or impossible to use, or you need information from the site in a different format (for example plain text, large print or audio), please contact us:
- Email: info@megnity.com
- Include the page address (URL), what you were trying to do, and the device, browser and any assistive technology you used.
We aim to reply within 5 working days and to offer an accessible alternative or a fix as quickly as we reasonably can.
5. If you are not satisfied
If you are in the UK, you can raise an unresolved complaint with the Equality Advisory and Support Service (equalityadvisoryservice.com). If you are in the European Union, you can contact the accessibility or consumer authority in your country. If you are in the United States, you can contact us first so we can fix the problem, and you are free to use any remedy the law gives you.
6. About this statement
This statement was prepared in November 2026 from our own review of the site against WCAG 2.2 Level AA. We will review it at least once a year and whenever we make significant changes to the site.
